Musical Instrument
- Choose an instrument and obtain it from the school. Literary materials will be given to educate the student about the instrument.
- A schedule with lesson plans will be established, ensuring they receive lessons once a week from a professional musician.
- As a beginner, students lear fundamentals of the instrument. They will progress to specific techniques, such as scales, for the instrument as well as music reading skills.
- Written and performing tests are given with recognition for improvement on the instrument.
- After a certain period of time, the student will move to intermediate and advanced level of playing the instrument. This will help students learn performing skills where they can perform recitals and concerts. Recitals will be individuals playing certain musical selections for a performance for their peers. A concert will include all qualified students to perform for friends and family. Location of the concert depends on the school facility and availability.
